Winter

leave a comment »

Loving winter this year. Cardigans, long coats, scarves, beanies and rugging up indoors on a cold night with some hot chocolate + a film = bliss! Also, the World Cup has been very exciting this year (you might have noticed the voracious way I’ve been tweeting about it lately)! I think Germany have a huge chance of taking the cup home.

Winter in Japan

Winter in Japan, 2009 | I wish it snowed in Brisbane!

I’ve finally gotten a chance to upload some work for the new Wedding section of the site, so take a peek if you wish! Leita and Simon had a beautiful wedding on Stradbroke Island last March. They were very kind to let me shoot their wedding, considering it was my first one. More from other weddings to come soon.

My Flying Dutchman!

My Flying Dutchman | aka Jordan and Robert

In other photography news, I will be shooting a couple of different things over the next two months. My Flying Dutchman is a local Brisbane band that I’ll be working with for their album artwork and promotional images. I’ll also be photographing a couple named Anna and Tom next month for their wedding. Can’t wait! I always welcome new work, so please email if you want some information or just to chat about photography/life!

PS If you haven’t had a chance to check out my work at the QCP, it ends next week on Sunday the 11th and is free! x

New site

with one comment

Hi everyone, I’ve recently updated my website. More content will be added as the work on the site continues. Hope you like it.

Also, for anyone in the Sydney area – on Thursday 8 April, 2010 I will be presenting a slideshow and speaking about my Lolita series for the Subcultures Slide Night at the Australian Centre for Photography – 257 Oxford Street, Paddington. The night runs from 7pm. It will be a great opportunity to discover different and unknown subcultures and communities!

Text from the ACP facebook event:

Come and step into the subversive world of subculture at the ACP on Thursday 8 April.

Photographers will present a selection of images of the communities they have photographed documenting the dress codes, attitudes and sense of belonging they have witnessed.

We’ll also be discussing the complexities of gaining access to and trust from communities such as those that the photographers have captured on camera.

Join us!

ACP members $5

Non-members $10
